Self-Study Course

Let’s get you set up to get the YES you need for that TEDx Talk you dream of delivering!
Every time you see a TED talk you think to yourself, “I should be on that stage!” .

Sometimes it just lights you up and excites you, knowing that doing a TED or TEDx is is certainly in your future.

Other times, though, you wonder how in the world you will get there. While you know you are great on stage and definitely have “an idea worth sharing,” the path to getting chosen for a TEDx event feels daunting.

The problem is that getting onto the TEDx stage feels like such a mystery!

  • How do people find the TEDx opportunity they land?
  • What do they say or do to inspire the curation team to invite them onto their stage?
  • Is there some kind of secret path to TEDx that only a small number of highly connected people know about?

And you’re not completely off base about the secret path – but it’s a path you can absolutely get yourself on, once you know how.

Because the truth is, most people actually don’t know how to find the best TEDx stage for their goals.

And when they do find TEDx events they’d like to speak for, they make some fundamental mistakes in their speaker applications.

I want to remove as many barriers as possible to you getting on a TEDx stage that excites you. And help you choose an event that you’ll be delighted with (because production, location and a variety of other things really can matter).

Let’s just take a trip into the future for a moment, to see what’s possible…

Imagine having an exciting list of potential TEDx events. Events that you KNOW have the production quality, reputation and ethos that will create an experience and VIDEO you are excited to share everywhere

Imagine feeling confident and clear as you submit your applications to speak at these events, knowing that you’ve created the application with all of the best practices for TEDx.

And for fun, let’s actually see you on that stage… delivering a talk that is full of high quality content, crafted in a way that upholds the TED and TEDx standard, but also feels heartfelt and true to you. (I’ll share these fundamentals with you!)

After your event, you share your TEDx talk with clients, colleagues, on your social media. It’s a beautiful representation of the message that matters to you, that you can draw from endlessly (quotes, short clips, images… so much to share!)

This is all possible when you know how to set yourself up for success in applying to TEDx events.

So let’s spend a few hours together getting you set up with a strong TEDx application plan AND very clear guidance on how to choose events that are right for reaching these visions and goals.

Now, drumroll please…

What clients have to say ..

“I killed it on that stage because Michelle helped me frame my rooftop message. She helped me deliver a talk that made sense, and that rallied an audience to buy into the idea that if we want to solve major world problems, we have to help girls and women stop dieting. None of that would have happened without her loving, but firm guidance. Hire Michelle for any major talk that you need to give.”

– Susan Hyatt, CEO Susan Hyatt Inc

“I had the pleasure and privilege to work with Michelle on my TEDx talk. It was extremely important to me that I get the message right to share my idea and Michelle really helped make that happen. One might think that with years of public speaking under my belt, a coach wouldn’t make much impact – but boy did she. She helped me sharpen the focus of my talk, structure the flow of the story, smooth out the rough parts and really bring the talk to life. Beyond her impacts as a speaking professional, she also was my #1 cheerleader, which helped immensely. If you have an important message and you want it to impactful and be heard, Michelle is who you should call to make it so.”

– Ron Fritz

“TEDx called and Michelle floated into my life like an angel. Amidst the creativity, chaos and tangible fear of writing a TED-talk, Michelle patiently and meticulously sorted through the mess of messages I wanted to convey to a TEDx audience of 1200 at the Luxembourg Philharmonic. She coached, cajoled and with infinite kindness helped me find my voice ~ one that resonated deep within my heart and out to the world. I am eternally grateful for Michelle’s wisdom…her lessons continue to affect my approach to both public and private conversations. Michelle’s ability to hone-in on both the clarity and meaning of words is her totally unique, innate skill.”

– Cristol Barrett O’Loughlin

“Michelle was the perfect coach for me and my TED talk. Michelle challenged me to peel back the layers and get to the message that needed to be shared. She also helped me figure out where I needed a slide and where I didn’t as well as tips for connecting with the audience. Without Michelle, my TED talk would not have spoken to the audience in the way it did, and I am forever grateful for her!”

– Gail Lovelace Menasco

“Without Michelle, I might have ended up on stage with a muddled, meandering mess of a TEDx talk. Instead, she patiently and diligently guided me through my sometimes overwrought and arduous process, through dozens of switchbacks and false starts, all the way to the successful delivery of my talk. I certainly would not have arrived at a talk I felt proud of without her persistent support and expert wisdom.”

– Chris Messina
